City on a Hill Run

The inaugural event is coming!  The first annual City on a Hill Run is set to debut on November 13, 2010 in downtown Oklahoma City.  With a starting point at 215 S. Walker at the Tapestry Project offices / Randy Coleman Photography Studio, the course will take you 3.1 miles (5K) through the streets of downtown.  A 1-mile fun run/walk will also be available.

The purpose of this event, besides bringing an opportunity to get your running shoes out on an awesome Fall morning, is to raise awareness and proceeds for an amazing organization.  The Tapestry Project is an organization that is revitalizing a deteriorating neighborhood through renovation, restoration, and connecting people in need to the resources that will equip them to thrive as a community. The vision is to create model for urban development and community transformation for women, children and families in crisis all across Oklahoma City.  Find out more about this visionary organization on their website at http://www.thetapestryproject.org/about.

This 5K course will be USATF sanctioned and certified with chip timing included.  Look for registration details coming soon!!
